RODNEY BENJAMIN GRANGER 1932-2002

Tue May 11, 2004, 7:52 AM
Hello. This account features the art of my late father Rodney Benjamin Granger. He was a painter, photographer, poet, and writer. He worked with oils for many years, and also sketched with charcoal and pastels. He drew 1000's of doodles with ink or pencil. He wrote several books, filled with anecdotes, stories, and poetry, almost always accompanied by illustrations. He was always creating something. I'm sure that where I got a lot of my artistic abilities from.

In the coming weeks I hope to find time to photograph many of his paintings and other drawings, and submit some of his work. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do.

In Art,
Curt Granger

It's the honesty of these worlds..
Ruled by magic and mighty swords..
That make my soul long for the past..

And yes...
.... Your father was indeed a great artist.
We enjoied his work a lot.

"Oh child, why?"
:iconthalionrin:
Your father had quite a son. This is very thoughtful, to share your father's work so everyone can enjoy it :)

I just wanted to stop by and say how much I appreciate everyone's endearing comments. It means a lot that I can share my dad's work and that it is appreciated. :)

Curt, what a wonderful way to share your dads work and in turn share that little bit of where you come from as well. This is something I would love to do as well although I no longer hhave access to many of my fathers paintings, I do have thousands of slide he took over the years.
Mostly just family oriented but always very well done. I also must attribute any small talent I have to my father. He died when I was 8 and I never really got to know him, until later when I started learning who he was through his "vision", his images. Very interesting.
